What's too scary for a teen's book?

I want to write horror similar to the kind of horror for teens I grew up with (April fools, the Invitation, when the phone rang, the face on the milk carton, the fog, The fun house, the baby sitter and so on.)

But it's been awhile since I was this age. And I know kids have changed a little. What's Considered too scary or crossing the line for this age group?

Haha teens aren't scared of anything from a book, really.

Don't be afraid if you think it's too much. Don't hold back.

If you want to write something, go for it.

I know lots of teens who read Stephen King. So seriously, nothing would scare us.
