How do you rewrite this sentence so it's active?

She wasn't in the mansion, she was outside, hiding in a bush,

    It is already active, but it's a comma splice.

    (And it ends with a comma.)

    This is one way to correct it:

    She wasn't in the mansion; she was outside, hiding in a bush.
