I have a 1983 Georgie Boy Motor home and the gas cap is missing. My question: is the gas cap vented or not!?!?

Most all gas caps are vented. This cap, I found out, is vented for safety reasons. Ray's trucks in Spokane who works on hundreds of Motorhomes each year informed me.

Gas caps on cars are not vented for safety reasons. There will be a small diameter tube attached fairly high up on the filler pipe. Probably hidden behind interior trim.
