Can you decipher the meaning in this poem?

Question

Longing for but knowing the folly
Of knowing you are never sorry
For hurtful words and cold, dark stares…
For thinking only of your own affairs.

Long lonely nights when I am here;
The different loneliness of being there.
You were always someplace I couldn’t reach,
In need of a lesson I could not teach.

So we go our separate ways
Yours secured, mine a haze
Of uncertainty or a possible fate
That I came upon a bit too late.

But at least I have a chance
Of returning to the dance
Of life, while you shun belief
And stand, alone, denying grief.

It is truly so very, very hard
to know the `why`s and the `wherefore`s of someone else.

The narrator thinks the other self - centred, never sorry, never grieving.
Life`s a totally bad trip in the wake/ backwash of someone, leaving.
Tragedies occur..We err for in our own pain we are blinded to another`s motivations
Still assuming we shared the same dream but one betrayed it, 
The culprit being assumption itself; no matter how nobly or basely either seemed to have played it
We still believe as we grieve, the other at fault.But believe me...Assumptions
Even of the current states, are constructed unintentionally to make us bolt from the reality..
Assumption is a misleading, seditious dolt.
Only as righteous pain clears, can we view it again from somewhere clearer, a touch above
Thus, realise then our own assumptions, rooted deeply in the belief that all we need is love; without
Kindly communications, disappointment spoils .. our every thought leads to, `I am right!`. It might
Be so. But for self - respect and clarity of heart..tell that other negative, ` 0, Go! Go! Go! Go!
Each in solitude grieves, some in anger, some fearing they`re  deceived, some feeling full unbelieved;
Interpretations are the day`s currency ~ a thinker`s holy, would - be rule 
I know of not one single soul who`s not been, sadly, some  assumption`s hopeful, willing fool.
This,  my answer to your poem of lost love, lost faith, lost trust..maybe lost hope, perhaps more...
Of all of these, I urge you please, against  all of those... assume nothing, bolt not life`s beckoning door!

you yearn for him but he is unfeeling and you cant change his inner soul  so you choose another path thinking it will drive him crazy but he never saw you to begin with
