If I have downloaded games on my Wii, could I play those games if I got a Wii U or would I have to rebuy them?

    If you purchased the games on eShop, then you did a Wii-to-Wii U transfer, then the games will be moved to the Wii Mode on the Wii U to be playable.

    If you want to get the Wii U version of the same games, it is a small extra cost, depending on the game (NES games are $1 instead of $5, SNES games are $1.50 instead of $8, and N64 games are $2 instead of $10).
