Planning a Chicago trip this summer. I am looking for nearby "natural wonders" - caves, waterfalls, etc. Preferably within a 2 hour drive.?

    Doesn't have to be a waterfall - that was just an example. Any sort of outdoor scenic whatever.

    The first natural wonder that I can think of with caves and waterfalls is Starved Rock state park. You can visit for the day, camp, or stay in the park hotel.

    I live in Chicago and there is no cave or waterfall that I know of. The closest waterfall is in central Illinois.
