I'm sure it would depend on the dealer and if you are leasing again. Did GM supply you with information on damage? I know that Ford does that. They send info on how to determine if there's damage that would be charged so you have time to fix it.

GM End of Lease?

Update:

I have a slight (probably chargable?) scratch on my Chevy leased vehicle. To avoid a inspection by a fussy GM lease person, can I simply turn the car into the nearest Chevy dealer to try to avoid a close inspection??
