Are Hyundai Cars Reliable? ?

my Hyundai did not give any problems   until it was eight years old.it was great.

very reliable. Houston    flood three years ago destroyed me car.

Hyundai has always offered good bang for the buck.  This means they put more stuff/options in each car for about the same money as the big major cars that only offer the basics.   Just looked at the 2020 GM,s and they cannot touch the options covered in the Hyundai line.  And the GM,s  cost about 5 to 10,000 more space bucks.

I loved my 2013 Elantra until the clear coat started peeling off of the paint.  It's doing it in patches and looks awful.  

Apparently there was a lawsuit against Hyundai for this issue with many of it's cars but the suit was thrown out by the judge.

Yes they are and these days they make Ford's look dated. 

I have owned GM cars, Ford cars, Toyota among other brands. Now I have driven Hyundai cars starting in 2003 and found them to be the best of all cars ever owned. I own two now and they have cost me oil changes, new tires, new batteries, just like the GM one I also own. One is about 14 years old and I am waiting for it to rust down as one person said. It has no rust, non of my Hyundai cars had rust.

South Korean crap cars that never last more then 10 years before rusting into dust.

Well, depends on dumb luck sometimes. Neighbors Hyundai was still under warranty and she always had the dealer do the required 3K mile oil changes, so they had to eat the cost of replacing the engine last year when it suddenly broke down. This car company still believes in the old school 3K mile OCI and you have to do this to keep your 10 year 100K mile power train warranty valid. Another girl I know does her Hyundai 3K mile OCI and has had the same car and engine for over ten years now with no issues. City girls car engine (with nothing but city miles) was replaced, country girls car has the same engine and she drives about 100 miles round trip to work five days a week. Hmmmm.....?

Yes they are. Hyundai have a five year warranty in the UK which shows manufacturer confidence in their product.
