No we're not. We just smile and laugh even when we have a lot to worry about. I'm a Filipino living in the Philippines.

the reason why filipinos are always happy even if we've been to a lot of thing things is that, in times of struggles filipinos always lookimg on the positive side than being sad doing nothing, they just gunna go with the flow.

Honestly, we are not happy all the time. We just don't want to pass our sorrow to others.

All Asians are happy when it comes to living a simple life and being able to get what you need. Except for North Koreans that is... We Asians live simple, most away from the bustling smoke-filled megacities. Urbanization is part of the modern world, but living simple is a different thing. Going to the local market to buy some veggies with your parents, or playing with your friends in the grass lands etc. are never going to be forgotten.

They're happy because they lead a simple life compared to the Western world. However they are under a lot of stress for daily survival. Many are forced to go abroad to work where they suffer abuse and they have the weight of their entire family on their shoulders to support. Those are the bread-winners and the bread-winners usually shoulder the entire weight of providing for the entire family. Many of them remain childlike so that aids in their being happy. So some of them that are suffering a great deal of stress are invisible because they're not in the Philippines but they're feeling the pressure of supporting their families.
