5000 miles is good or 6 months.

3,000 miles. make sure you check the oil level every 1,000 miles between oil changes and top the oil up. You don't want to starve the turbo of oil.

    Follow your owners' manual.

If you use fully synthetic oil to the correct viscosity you can go 12,000 miles or annually between changes. What you heard about turbo needs is incorrect. If you allow the engine to idle for 10 seconds before switching off your turbo will last longer.

This allows it to stop spinning before it's oil feed ceases.
