Everyone should. Especially in areas prone to blackouts. Landline phone systems have their own power. Finding a phone that never needs to be plugged in is getting near impossible.

The powers that be want you all enslaved and controlled by smartphones and computers, Don't let them get an edge over you, support the landline tech before it all fades away. Its almost gone now.

No landline here.  Too expensive to keep both.  Rates keep going up... everything going up except my salary.

Of course.  The sound quality is so much better.

Yes, I do. It's useful to have especially if I'm ever without my mobile.

Yes, the land-line is also the line the security system uses. The great thing about copper, is that it works, even due to "most" power outages, so barring a Major Infrastructure disruption, you can still make and receive calls with a copper land-line.

Voip  on the other hand, doesn't work, especially if it's just your home/business is the only one, where the power is out.

Also a copper land-line is a must for any household with someone with special needs as far as their medical health, in areas that have a lot of local power outages.
