Why my new phone automatically calls emergency number?

Update:

It happen also when phone isn't locked

Sometimes it calls even when I'm using it

Martin, you are absolutely right. I just pressed power button twice to try & it called 👍🏻

    It said that GSM phones have inbuilt recognition of emergency numbers  That is why even in the stage of power on the phone in times of normal and accidentally when the power button is pressed twice it automatically takes the call to distress or emergency number.

    turn off the emergency call option in the settings . Or read the user manual dummy . Only a fool would get a phone and not read the instruction manual .

    Go back to the seller and tell them what is happening and ask what can be done about it.

    Check to make sure that the lock screen does not have a emergency app on it. That is where most of the accidentally made 911 calls come from, while putting the phone in or out of pockets, bags, etc.

    Might be a glitch with sim card. Try removing it and put back in

    Not the slightest idea but the remedy is take it back and tell them this phone is dialing in emergency number for no reason exchange the phone
