Would you hope to be around if we were to finally make contact with an extraterrestrial civilization?

Yes, that would be very exciting. 

I don't know when we'll discover a planet with aliens. Some aliens will also live permanently in space. Both of them could also have cloaking devices, making it difficult to detect their presence

Some extraterrestrials can visit us ; but no one is saying WHERE they're from

Governments probably HAVE recovered certain flying crafts (and made their own) ; but not motherships

The aliens that visit Earth are MUCH more advanced than humans : it is actually EASY for them to visit. They are monitoring Earth and using the solar system 

Humans are trying to find something similar or inferior to themselves - and on an actual planet -; to be stronger in space - and against certain, powerful aliens - and in case they have to leave Earth

Scary as that would be I would be like a moth before a flame. I'd have to check it out. But how do those aliens define civilization and how good would we taste to them?

As for me Tim, I have more questions to fire at them than a machine gun has bullets. Do they know anything about God? Did they have anything to do with Jesus? on earth. Have they been visiting us for hundreds of thousands of years? As I am unable to think of how their photography thousands of years in advance of our own would look, I would love to see photos of our ancestors and dinosaurs. I would have to ask how many lifeforms in our Galaxy and which do they find to be the weirdest looking. How do they manage their world? So much I would need to ask. They may even be able to tell us exactly where we go after the death of the body.

EDIT! Another thing, I would love to see pics of their own wildlife if they have any and also, have they managed to talk with other life on their planet?

Based on the question I see we agree, there has been no extraterrestrial contact yet.  I am ever hopeful, and yes I hope to be around to experience it. I imagine the alien leader will find us interesting. Extraterrestial leader to his crew. "Can you believe half these beings still believe in ghosts and psychics?" "No wonder we had to come to them."

Sometime before the 20th April would be awesome.

Yes, I would like to be around it would be very interesting. Surely extra-terrestrials can't be any more bloodthirsty or destructive than humans and we might actually learn something from them - although we would probably just fight about it. Imagine if they explained the origins of the universe and it was not to some people's liking......
