What would you do in this situation?

I work two jobs, both offered remote work until now.  One of my jobs offered me hours for the summer but I would have to be on sight and interacting with small to medium sized crowds of people on a daily basis.  Sure some would be vaccinated and some would wear their masks properly but I would still be extremely uncomfortable there.  My other job offered me considerably fewer hours but my work would be remote.

I wanted to work on my mental health this summer and possibly take classes online to grow professionally or to try different things.  Working fewer hours would allow me to do this.  Mentally I am near rock bottom.  I am suffering from severe anxiety, depression and extreme insomnia.  It might seem like a no brainier, but I have this nagging feeling that I might come to regret this decision.

Do you not understand the concept of being vaccinated yourself?  The odds are already very low that Covid will affect you to any life threatening level.  With vaccination your chances are even lower that you'd get it.  Stop living in fear and look at science to move forward.

It's very difficult to be mentally in a good space, if you are unable to pay your bills.

Covid has always been an "I take care of me situation and I don't need to worry about you".

Dr. David Price, ICU pulmonologist at Weill Cornell Hospital in NYC, has a video on how to not get covid.  It was released at the end of March 2020 and got a lot of "hmmm what does he know".  Well in retrospect he is very smart and caught on very early.

    - watch it.

If you want to be safe get some KN95 FDA approved masks.  They filter 95% or more of viral particles.  You can add a face shield or cotton mask over it.

    - Since these are people you don't know.  We can surmise you will give them normal personal space.  Providing 1 meter of distance (about 3ft) reduces your risk of covid 82%

-- add that to your masking and it's almost impossible to get covid.

And do you know your vitamin D levels?  40% of American adults are vitamin D deficient.  People of darker skin are more likely vitamin D deficient and Black adults as many as 70% are deficient.

    - vitamin D definitely has some relationship to covid.  People who are deficient have are more likely to get sick, have complications, and die.

== some people say it's not a formal cause and effect.

    * Vietnam believes it does and they treat people with vitamin = they have the lowest illness rate and death rate of any country with more than 25,000 population

    * Ireland released a study last week that says there have been so much causal evidence that they are going with "it's true".  they are requiring all long term care facility residents to use vitamin D supplements, as well as healthcare workers.  And will provide vitamin D supplements for free at covid 19 testing centers.

You should use vitamin d with oil to get the best absorption.

My life path has slowly but steadily been shaped to fit my anxiety and and such. In hindsight over the last 30 years, it was the wrong thing to do.  Instead of facing, fighting through my issues as I did during my 20'sand early 30's. I figured out ways to avoid. Back then, when I was in a place that still forced all those interactions and such, I was able to handle them much much better, it actually made it easier to cope then it is today.  Take it, leave it, whatever.
