Why is the colour Black prominent in UK funerals?

Queen Victoria also popularized wearing white for weddings.

Tradition, mainly from the fashion set by Queen Victoria after the death of her consort, but its origins go back to the days of the Roman Empire. Contrasts with white which is used in Asian countries eg Vietnam.

That is common to all Western countries - black is the color of mourning.  If you go to a funeral, you should wear black.  There is no law of course, it's just custom.

In western culture black is the colour associated with death, and mourning.  

Black has always been traditional at funerals, not just in the UK. People in mourning wear black. It is also a sign of respect to wear black at a solemn occasion. 

In every funeral.  The white man made it a thing.

They teach that at the funeral it's a sad or bad time so people should wear black cause black represents saddness or badness.  Then they said that the wedding is a time to be joyful and celebrate so people should wear white on account that white is right.

White folk also invented a game where they put a bunch of balls on the table, they got a white one and the rest are colored.  The white ball knocks the hell outta the colored balls and is the only ball left on the table on the end.  You can't bury the white ball, the white ball is the king of balls, I know you know what I'm talkin bout.

Then he says we should call the chocolate cake Devils Food Cake but the vanilla one should be called Angel Food Cake, I ain't making this up, I could go on too.  Then they accuse us of teaching hate cause we point this out to the kids, we let the kids know the truth, the white man says none of this is racism but it is racism, who feels it knows it.
