  • BMW idle fluctuates when I turn on the AC?

I recently purchased a pre owned bmw 3 series. Whenever and only when I turn on the AC the RPM goes to 1 and then drops. It’s also noisy from the inside. When I go to turn it off it also makes noise before shutting off. It only happens with the AC. My previous BMW never did this. Could it be the belt? Or a dirty fuel injector? I’ve been reading on it and it’s giving me several answers. I told the dealership about it and they said it was normal - though like I stated before my other BMW never made this noise.

  • 2008 BMW 328i oil leak, worth repair?

I have a 2008 BMW 328i that was being used with an unknown oil leak for some time. Apparently there are multiple holes, in the gasket maybe? I have heard in the past from some people that replacing the gasket might not be enough and that there might be some engine damage? Is it worth it to replace the gasket and engine? Is there more work needed? What would be the price range to replace both on this series and year? Thank you so much in advance!

  • 2012 bmw f30 Logic 7?

My 2012 bmw 335i logic 7 amplifier is dead. Seen alot of 2012-2015 bmw 5 series and 6 series Logic 7 amplifiers for sale and also alot cheaper. Will the logic 7 amplifier fit my bmw 335? They look exactly the same? Might seem like a dumb question but theres a $300 price difference between the two...

  • Should I keep my 2004 BMW 1 series 120D or should I get rid?

    I have a 1 series BMW 2004, 2lr diesel 120D, 166000 mileage

It has been idle for a year due to the pandemic. I recently decided to use it again and the battery is obviously flat but wouldn’t start so I bought a new battery. Despite the new battery it wouldn’t start so managed to jump start it a few times to get it running. It only managed to drive it around my area and then to the garage for servicing and MOT. I drove the car for almost an hour but once at the garage the car would not start again. The ABS light came on the stability traction control light came on, and when driving to the garage the car started shaking as I accelerate. At the garage it’s been 2 weeks and the guy hasn’t bothered to look at my car. Every time I call him he says he is behind with a few jobs. I’m getting fed up of waiting coz I feel like the reason it’s not being fixed it’s because it’s a big job. I just find out the car is on recall from BMW. Should I take it to the BMW to fix it (which I think will be expensive) or go for a cheaper garage. Should I even bother fixing it or should I just get rid of it?I’m fed of using Uber when I have a car.

  • Broken water pump bolt 2005 bmw 545i 4.4l ?

Broken water pump bolt 2005 Bmw 545i ?

I was reinstalling my water pump on my 05 545i. During the process of tightening I snapped one of the long m6x100 bolt. Part of the broken bolt is about 1-2 inches into the hole. My bolt extractor is not long enough. Do anyone have any idea how I can remove the broken piece from the car? And what type drill or other tools to use ? Thanks

  • BMW X5 Suspension ?

Just recently I’ve noticed a very loud hissing coming from the back passenger side tyre area of our X5. The left side seems a lot lower than the right and when driving over bumps it makes a really hard bashing noise. But other times it’s fine. It’s my bfs car so I can’t take it to a garage myself but does anyone know what the problem could be? I’m guessing it’s the suspension but he says the hissing is normal and that apparently I’ve pressed a tailgate button?!

  • I have a bmw 2001 740i with timing chain issues. The chain started to rattle when the guide broke. ?

Before I could get it in to my mechanic, the engine shut down and went into safe mode. Then, would not turn over. I didn't hear any noise when it shut down. My mechanic tells me I need a new engine. Does this sound right to you?

  • Adding HID/Xenon kits to a headlamp that never came with them is bad, but will adding LED conversion kits do the same damage?

LEDs, if not given adequate ventilation, tend to generate a fair amount of heat that I assume will cause a similar damage to the headlamp assembly that did not come with them as standard from the factory.  I have a BMW E46 318i and E46 323i that I was intending on replacing the halogen bulbs with.

Also, is there any reason why the LED park bullbs are flashing? I'm using another type of LED bulb for the park lamp socket that needs a different type of bulb that has one prong on each site of the butt, not 2 prongs on each side.
