  • How can I get my Roku soundbar to play the audio and video from older analog sources?

I recently bought a Roku soundbar which works very well, but it doesn't play any other source besides the HDMI input of the Roku itself. I want to be able to stream the audio/video as well as the video from older analog sources like a dvd player. I think there is a device that converts the analog stream to HDMI that seems to work in theory, but wanted to see if any other Roku or soundbar owners have any experience with this?

  • What happens if you have an old trash can in your back yard that's filled with old trash, dirty waste water etc, and you pour it in to...?

It's filthy. It was here when we moved in 2 years ago and now we're finally going to renovate our yard and I need it gone. I's mostly dirty water and liquefied trash now so I thought about pouring it over the fence to the neighbours yard when it's raining, probably he'll never know unless the rain doesn't wash it away. What do you think?

  • Help with a/d/s L8e speakers. How do I use them?

I have two a/d/s L8e speakers & want to get them to work but know nothing about them. Only info I have is the sticker on the back saying they’re “4 ohms nominal.”

What do I need to be able to use them? Do I just need an amp? If so, how do I know what kind?Does anybody know any specs for them? Also, what kind of wires do I need?I can’t seem to figure it out through searching google.

  • If I want to set up a multiple Bluetooth speaker system in an apartment, what is the best and most affordable way to accomplish that?

Unfortunately it seems you can only attach one Bluetooth speaker at a time, so I'm hoping to find a way to connect several at once. I want to be able to hear the phone ring across different rooms at once.

  • Where can you get your home theatre system installed for FREE!?!!?

I just purchased a full home theatre system, it's great, there's dvd players, speakers, tv screens, home theatre units etc. It cost so much, that I now have no money left for the installation, and I think it's beyond the capabilities of people to put this in themself. I don't actually think there's anyone who fully understands this stuff, myself included. So who can put it in for free?

  • What do I need for whole home audio?

Just bought a new house. There are 12 ceiling speakers throughout the home and all the speaker cables are routed to a single spot downstairs. I just want to use it for listening to music, preferably controlled by an app. Can anybody suggest what kind of device I need to connect these 12 speaker wires to that would allow me to listen to music, preferably from my phone? And is it possible to group which speakers I want to listen to?

  • Is it worth getting a 4K Blu-ray player?

Is it worth getting a 4K Blu-ray player for my 4K TV? Or is 4K Blu-ray become obsolete due to lack of popularity?

  • Suggestions for wired headphones with surround sound and at least 250ohm of impedance?

I'm having trouble finding a pair of wired headphones with surround sound AND an impedance of at least 250ohm. My equipment has a small amplifier generating 600ohm of impedance. I mainly use headphones for watching films or music with 48khz, 24-bits DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD Atmos Audio. Can you give me some suggestions please? Thank you!

  • Should I upgrade my AV Receiver?

I have the Onkyo TX-NR509 5.1 AV Receiver which I've own for about 10 years now. For over 5 years, I've had random audio dropouts with this receiver when using the HDMI ports. And here's the funny thing, it happens once in a blue moon... maybe once every 6 months or so. That's how rare it is. And in the over 5 years it has been happening, it hasn't gotten worse. Truth be told, deep down inside, I've hoping that it does get worse so it gives me a reason to upgrade to a 4K AVR, but it still only happens rarely. I've switched to different cables, different ports and even upgraded to a 4K TV a couple of years ago, and the dropouts still occur. So, it's obvious that the problem lies with the HDMI board on the receiver.

Given the fact that this is a problem that rarely happens, do you think it's time that I retire this AVR and upgrade? Or should I just save my money and put up with the dropouts since it rarely occurs. Was thinking of maybe upgrading to the Yamaha RX-V385BL.

I have a 50 in LG smart TV and I want to buy a soundbar to go with it.  I just wanted to know, do soundbars generally plug into the TV via HDMI or do they connect wirelessly? I'm not an expert so if you could give a layman's answer that would be appreciated please lol!
