How do I report my bank if I keep finding extra money in my account that disappears without trace?

On three occasions I found extra money in our checking account. It did not show a deposit. It just suddenly appeared in the balance. I thought it was a bank error, so I called about it. They said that my balance was correct. Then it disappeared about 4 days later. It happens about every 3 months, and it is always 80.00. My current bank doesnt keep the same daily ledger, like most banks. They go back and change it around to fit their paperwork, instead of carrieing down the balance as transactions occur. I use to keep books for atleast 5 different companies and never have seen this before.

Update:

I should have mentioned, I tried the print out thing & was told that by 2 different branches it does not matter what I "printed from their site" or my "statement". Only what they see on their screen. What?

Sounds like you're saying that the deposit shows in the total balance as a pending transaction but it never actually clears your account. Instead, it disappears after a few days. That's really weird and it makes me wonder if someone internally is doing something fraudulent. I used to work at a bank and I know that everything balanced daily and any necessary adjustments are approved by management. I would raise a flag to someone in the bank higher up. Next time you see the $80 in your balance, print it out before it disappears.

It not possible....How to Disappear is the authoritative and comprehensive guide for people who seek to protect their privacy as well as for anyone who’s ever entertained the fantasy of disappearing—whether actually dropping out of sight or by eliminating the traceable evidence of their existence.
