When is the appropriate time to test?
I am very excited. Over two years of TTC i finally got a positive ovulation test. It's been so sporadic and crazy, and now I am regulated and got a positive test on March 5th and 6th.
When would the appropriate time be to test?
I know you can take those tests how many days before your missed period, but I don't want to take one too soon.

As you've heard, a lot of tests can be used days before you even miss your period. However, there's a lot of room for error. I would wait until you miss your period by a day at the least to test. I tested the day I missed my period (I was so regular, that I knew by the afternoon that my period was late) and I got a positive. However, I tried other tests (I was so insanely excited after trying 1.5 years that I bought 2 more tests that day) and one brand wasn't so definitive. So, don't waste too much money until the day after. I'm trying again and that's the rule I have given myself.

You can take it as early as 10 days after you ovulate (4 days prior to the potential period) with about 50% accuracy. Wait until 14 days after you ovulate and you'll get a 99% accurate reading. Buy a 2 test kit - test today, because I know you can't wait. :) Then if it's negative, don't fret, you have a 50/50 chance that it's wrong. Test again on the 20th - you'll have your true answer. Good luck!

i took a home pregnancy test 2 days before my missed period last week and got a positive. If its a negative it can be too early..If you really want to be sure, take the test the day period is due or the day after to be a little more accurate.

its recommended to test no ssoner than a missed period but i've tested on the day of my missed period and have gotten false - so i always wait 5 days to a week after my period is due to be accurate.

The day of your missed period is the most accurate.
Best of luck on that BFP!
