My husband and I went to h.s. together and ran into each other 15 years later and ended up getting married. We're ttc our first baby together!

  • Is there a website that sells past NFL games?

I'm looking for a copy of 2006 AFC Championship game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots.

Does anyone know a website that sells past Championship games like this one?

    Thanks!

  • Anyone who had blocked tubes?

DH and I have put off the hsg test (mostly due to the cost) but decided to have it done this month before trying another IUI. I feel like I am wasting money on this procedure since my understanding is that you are likely to have blocked tubes due to a std or endometriosis, which I have had no history of either of these things. I'm curious if anyone didn't have these things and ended up having blocked tubes anyhow? Can you have endometriosis and have no symptoms of it?

Is there other reasons that one might have blocked tubes? Either way we are going to go ahead with the testing, I just wanted to get more information on what causes blocked tubes.

    Thanks!

  • For those who didn't conceive until after 1 year of ttc.?

Just curious how long after the 1 year mark did you finally conceive your baby?

Did it happen 'naturally' or did you end up having to go on meds and/or see a fertility specialist in order to conceive?

DH and I reached the 'one year' mark of ttc....still no baby...and from what I have read, our chances are not good to conceive naturally (only 5% conceive within the next year).

We are seeing a specialist at this point but our first IUI failed.

Thanks for any hope/insight or explanation of your situations.

Best of luck to everyone. :)

  • After 1 year of ttc, have you gotten pregnant yet?

Well, here DH and I are....one year....still no baby. 90% of couples ttc have already gotten pregnant and only 5% more of us will succeed in the next year. What terrible news...it has me very sad.

I'm curious, for those who have ttc one year and failed, did you eventually get pregnant the next year or how many of you are still ttc after 1 year of trying?

Source: Conception is most likely to occur in the first month of trying

(about a 30% conception rate). The chance then falls steadily to

about 5% by the end of the first year. Cumulative conception

rates are around 75% after six months, 90% after a year, and

    95% at two years.

  • Hillary Supporters- Why support McCain?

Donald Trump, a Hillary Clinton supporter, announced to Larry King Live that he is now supporting McCain.

I'm just curious how one goes from supporting Clinton to supporting McCain and why? Is there some major issue with Obama that is concerning you? Did McCain do something to convince you to support him instead of Obama?

Just curious of people's opinions...it just seems odd that someone would go from supporting Hillary to supporting McCain.

  • Reagan/Lincoln quote-- do you agree?

Ronald Reagan gave a quote of Abraham Lincoln's at the Republican National Convention in 1993. These words make perfect sense to me. Do you agree? Disagree? .. and why?

"You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

  • Democrats to American Commuters: Ride a Bike?

    http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx...

Please tell me this is not their answer to the crisis we find ourselves in?

Has it dawned on them that maybe we should stop ignorantly spending taxpayer money instead of telling Americans to simply ride a bike?

  • Anyone pregnant by using IUI to conceive?

Just curious if anyone in the pregnancy forum became pregnant by IUI.

DH and I are suppose to try this in the next few weeks (IUI with Meds) due to mild male fertilty issue (poor morphology- 15 percent).

Just wanted to hear peoples good/bad things about IUI and I'm curious how many attempts it took.

    Thanks!

  • Fertility Testing Question, HSG test, blocked tubes.?

So, DH and I are suppose to start fertility testing and possible IUI to ttc our first child (we're both in our 30s, mild male factor issues - morphology 15%) and now it's my turn to get all of the testing done on me.

Among the testing is the HSG test where they see if my tubes are blocked...but here's the 'kicker', it's $1500.00 and insurance covers zero...in fact, insurance doesn't cover anything.

Does anyone know the stats on having blocked tubes? I have no history of stds, no history of endometriosis (which I have read are the major reasons for blocked tubes), no female problems at all that I know of.....so I am wondering if this test is *really* necessary? The Dr. said if insurance doesn't cover it, I may be fine to just skip this test..but I can't decide.

Any thoughts? Anyone with no known stds/endo, etc.. still end up having blocked tubes?

  • Anyone tried IUI? What was your outcome?

Due to male factor issues, my DH and I have an appt. with an RE to discuss IUI option.

    Anyone had an IUI done?

How many attempts did it take you? Did you take meds? What testing was done beforehand?

    ..and finally....was it successful?

This is so depressing.....I just really want to know what we are up against if we're going to spend a lot of money on this...from what I have read, your chances increase only slightly. *sigh*

    Thanks!

  • Internet Connection problems- Windows XP.?

We had a storm last night and when I came into work, my computer had rebooted itself.

I went to log on the internet and it would not connect. My father who sits next to me at the office is able to get onto the internet just fine.

I've checked all of the lines and they work fine, his computer works fine but I cannot connect.

Does anyone have any insight as to what I might try to fix my computer? I'm not very computer literate but it seems like this happened before and it had something to do with resetting my IP address?? It seems I had to reboot my computer and exit it while it was booting to the black screen and type in some stuff to reset it?

    Thanks for any help!

  • Poor sperm morphology and IUI.?

So, DH had his sperm analysis and he has 55 million sperm, 45% mobility but his morphology is 'low' (15/100).

My OB has referred us to an RE for IUI and now we have an appt. scheduled.

My bbt charts look 'awesome' per my OB but I have not yet been tested for anything as of yet. (egg quality, fallopian tubes, etc..)

I was just wondering, for those who have been through IUI, what kind of testing did you have to go through? Did the Dr. also put you on meds, etc, before the IUI? How successful was it for you and how many attempts did you try?

Thanks for any information you can give to me.

  • CM question, ovulation question?

Okay, I'm a bit confused... on Tuesday, I tested with an OPK and it was almost the same as the test line (so I counted it as still negative). On Wed. (yesterday), I went to the restroom and had a TON of white (sort of creamy and watery cm) AND EWCM that stretched about 3". Probably the best ewcm I have ever had since charting for 7 months. But it was white AND somewhat clear?? I also got a positive opk last night so we baby danced.

My temps have been 97.2 for the last 5 days, this morning it went down to 96.8 and my cm seems to be dry/slightly damp.

I know your temp is suppose to go up after ovulation...but mine went down today. My CM has dried but I know you're suppose to ovulate 24 hours after an opk test. So technically, shouldn't I have ewcm today? Or can you be ovulating when you get a positive opk and ewcm?

I am waiting the next few days to see what my temps do as well.

Hope this isn't confusing....I'd appreciate your thoughts..and good luck to everyone ttc!

  • Great here we go....??

So, this month, I have been basically feeling like "it's never going to happen", went ahead and made a dr's appt. next month to get some fertility testing since we've been ttc for over 6 months and we're over 35 years of age.

I've had no symptoms...still I have no symptoms. So, this morning, I'm thinking my temp is going to nosedive below my coverline like usual (I'm due for A/F today). Well, it went down but it's still .3 degrees above my coverline and still no A/F, no pms, etc. Never had this happen before, it always plunges below my coverline. I took a hpt yesterday, BFN, didn't even bother with it today.

If A/F doesn't show up, I will test tomorrow. Just curious if anyone who charts has gone past their luteal phase and how did it turn out? I'm just not prepared to be excited about this after so many let downs.

    Thanks!

    Here's my chart if interested

  • What makes a chart triphasic?

Just curious what makes a bbt chart triphasic? Do you have have a certain number of days of higher temps? I couldn't find any information on this...and I was curious.

  • BBT charting question.?

    Hi ladies,

I have a question for those of you who chart. I woke up this morning, hot and a bit of damp hair from apparently sweating in my sleep. I got up regular time, no environment changes, including the weather outside and I took my temp, it was 98.1, no cold, no sickness, nothing going on with my body that I know of, feeling fine.

I stayed up about 20 minutes talking with hubby, went back in the bathroom and took my temp again and it was 97.8. I know you're suppose to go with the first temp but because I was sweating, I felt it would be 'higher' than normal and of course, it was.....so if I am suppose to record my first morning temp, should I 'disregard' this temp on FF, or just record it anyway? I looked at the secondary signs on FF but there isn't anything for 'sweating'. I just feel that my temps were off because of me waking up 'hot'. I guess it could have been a 'hormone surge' or something but I think it's odd that my temp went down 20 minutes later. Any ideas?

  • Interesting info. about ttc?

I found this on the internet when I was trying to figure out why I have cramping for 2 weeks every month right after ovulation.

I had to read it twice because I was amazed that the cramping could be from the uterus trying to expel the embryo!! Gee whiz, does that mean your body actually tries to abort an embryo itself?? If that's the case, no wonder it's so freakin' hard to ttc!!!

    What do you guys think?
