After 1 year of ttc, have you gotten pregnant yet?

Well, here DH and I are....one year....still no baby. 90% of couples ttc have already gotten pregnant and only 5% more of us will succeed in the next year. What terrible news...it has me very sad.

I'm curious, for those who have ttc one year and failed, did you eventually get pregnant the next year or how many of you are still ttc after 1 year of trying?

Source: Conception is most likely to occur in the first month of trying

(about a 30% conception rate). The chance then falls steadily to

about 5% by the end of the first year. Cumulative conception

rates are around 75% after six months, 90% after a year, and

95% at two years.

Update:

We've been to a specialist already (sorry, forgot to include that info). His morphology is a bit low, 15% but that seems to be the only issue. We've tried IUI but it hasn't worked. :(

Hi Melinda. We must've started TTC the same month because we just hit the one year mark as well. We decided to bite the bullet and see a RE in August and are just now in the middle of our first medicated cycle with IUI. I go tomorrow for labs and ultrasound to see how my follicles are doing and when to schedule my trigger shot and IUI. It's very disheartening to be in this position. I look at so many people in this world who are getting pregnant at the snap of a finger and wonder...

I also get down when I read about the low IUI success rate. We're trying 3 IUI cycles and then moving on to IVF if we have to. I know bunches of people get pregnant with IUI (and I pray we'll join that group!) but I know tons more aren't successful. I just had my first acupuncture appointment this morning and will be starting yoga soon. I feel that Eastern medicine and holistic practices can be very helpful (and I've heard so many success stories) so I've decided to open my mind to them. Maybe this is an avenue you can try as well...?

Sorry to say that I have been ttc for almost three years now. However now since I am seeing a fertility specialist I at least know why we didn't get pregnant and we are working on fixing the problem. So you should just go see a fertility specialist and I know its alot of test to have done but they can help. Maybe it will happen soon! Good luck!

I know how you feel. I am in my 12th month of TTC right now and have had 14 cycles during this time. Since this would by our first kid, we're not sure what might be wrong with us or if we're even able to have kids. We are just now beginning to see a specialist and get testing done. So far, I've only had a progesterone blood test which came back as sufficient for pregnancy. So, i just now have to wait until the 27th of this month to see my new OB-GYN and see what to do next.

i can understand the hopelessness that comes with infertility. It seems that each month that goes by, I feel less and less confident that I'll be pregnant that month. I guess it does help with the disappointment factor since my hopes aren't high, but it's also really sad to feel that way.

I'm just now getting to the point of having complete faith in God's hand in it all. I don't know what He's up to and why He's chosen me to be in this difficult minority group, but I figure that if I've got to go through so much in order to have a baby, then God must have big plans for my husband and I through the process and big plans for the life of our baby. It's a tough cross to bear, but I'm also excited to see what happens.

I really do wish you the best of luck as you continue trying, and i will be praying for you by name.

Maya Abdominal Massage. It can help you as a women to get your reproductive organs working optimally, and it can help your husband with the same. It's awesome stuff! I ttc #2 for about 17 months with no success and then came across MAM. I got pregnant in one cycle. I have since become a practitioner.

Most of the couples seek medical treatments once they figure out that the magic is not happening between them. Well, it is advised to give it some time and wait for about 6 months to a year before you actually seek medical help. Given below are some simple home remedies which will enhance your chance of getting pregnant naturally https://tr.im/C29HY

I got pregnant on my very first try the first time and miscarried.

The second time it took 6 months. We are trying for our second and it's been a year. It's frustrating because I know I can get pregnant but it's not happening. I have friends who decidedthey wanted to get pregnant, try and the next month they are announcing it already. It seems like they just decide to get pregnant and it happens for them. It's not fair. Hang in there. I know people who adopted kids because they gave up hope and a month later got pregnant on their own.

It took me about a year. I would suggest going to a fertility specialist now :-) Good luck!
