What to do about an ex that will not let go?

My ex was an insecure girl. My dad (psychiatrist) says that she tried to get extremely close to family and friends to make it harder for me to have any chance of breaking up with her.

We had absolutely nothing in common so, obviously, things didn't work out and I broke up with her three months ago.

My family and friends didn't like her but she still remains in contact with my mom, little brother, and two of my closest friends. They don't like it and I feel guilty for unknowingly introducing the situation. I know now how Pandora must have felt.

If they do not like it then they need to grow spines and say no to her.

Depending on how she keeps in contact with your family, the best method would be to let her down easy. Tell her that the relationship is over and that your family would like to move on just as much as you would.

If that doesn't work, fade her out. Make up excuses when she wants to come by, don't return her calls and delete her from your social networking lists. It's mean yes, but depending on how badly you'd like to move on, maybe it would be worth it for both of you.

I'm sorry. She will move on in time. Just keep your distance and she will eventually find another victim LOL!
