Windows 7- How to stop the clicking noise within file folders?

I'm sure I've looked right at it. In Windows 7, when I go to say the "Computer" window and click on any of the file folders. The annoying clicking is within those windows. Stop the file folder clicking MADNESS! What is it called in the sound menu to shut it off?

Update:

Yep that was it. I knew it was in there but didn't know the name of it. Who thought that was a good idea in the first place? Who was the weasel who put that in? Thanks!

I think you are annoyed with the click sound, right? Okay to stop that sound, following steps may be helpful :-

    1. Click on Start → Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Sound.

    2. Sound dialogue box will open. Now click on "Sounds" tab.

    3. Scroll down in "Program Events:" until you see "Start Navigation". This is under "Windows Explorer" menu.

    4. Click on "Start Navigation".

    5. Now you will see "Windows Navigation Start.wav" under "Sound:".

    6. Click on "Windows Navigation Start.wav" and a list will open. Scroll up and click on "(None)".

    7. Now click on "Apply".

    8. Everything is done! Now you will not hear that sound.

    Hope it helps!

You have multiple options: I'd download notepad ++ (free GNU) and then open all files and "search". You can always use window's search tool to search inside files or even use macros or regular expression. With Windows 7: click the desktop once (WIN+D) and press F3. You can then, in advanced, search for terms "in files". Good luck!
