i wanna buy but it has to be ultra cheap, i dont care about the brand and quality especially for the monopod at least 5ft. the monopod is my prority as it is more handy and portable im gonna use it for just a handy video cam to prevent shaky shots. Quapo Cubao.. those sorts of places.. exact adresses and price please.
thanks in advance Philippines!
I alreadt went to cdrking at 3 large branches, they dont have tripods and monopods this year.
I have a question about hidalgo street.. where is the area of most of the cameras there? hidalgo street is quite long. and is it safe there nowadays' i read a lot of forums to avoid that area because a lot of huliDap type of gangs prey for young-adult buyers there.

Browse through R. Hidalgo St on Quiapo. This is my best option for cheap yet durable camera-related add-ons. Range is about Php750 to Php2000.
--EDIT--
The stretch of R. Hidalgo street provides numerous stores for cameras. Yes, you will be pretty vulnerable to hulidaps there. Be sensitive to your surroundings.
Usually the items purchased there in the stores are usually wrapped in newspaper to disguise holduppers. :) I once bought a lens for my Canon SLR there and I walked away in freedom, wahahahaha. :)

CD-R King might have the cheapest tripods and monopods. Check the bigger branches since not all branches would carry a complete line up of their products. Their website features a comprehensive list of products with corresponding prices. So far, I think the Lucky Chinatown branch might be their biggest branch to date. You can call different branches to check actual stocks.

For tiny tripods for desktop use, you will also find a few in Japan Home where everything is sold at P66 or P88.
Camera shops may also carry some inexpensive ones alongside the branded Manfrotto tripods. Check Camera Haus, Island Photo or Photoline in malls if you don't want to go to Quiapo. Island Photo has plenty of tripods in its Herrera branch. They are the official distributor of Manfrotto I think. They might have cheaper alternatives there.
Google the address and telephone numbers of these Quaipo camera dealers to ask for directions or to ask about cheapest tripods available: Watson's Photo, Henry's Camera, Mayer Photo, Fotohaus, JT Photoworld, Super East Asia's Canon Shop, or google related blog posts:
