Why are men so bad with communication?

Men by nature are hunters. we hunt for what we want and usually get it. Say a man wants a buffalo, he hunts, then captures the buffalo (or kill it), but no where in the process is there a discussion with the buffalo. The hunter is respected for the meat and skins that he brings home. He gets no credit for talking about the buffalo that got away. buffalo and I talked and determined we were not compatible so we went our different ways. get the idea, we want you, we chase you, you agree that both of you could be happy, what more do you want to talk about?

I am in the first relationship.. ever.. that isn't that way. We have had some form of contact every single day.. since the day we met. And that's coming up on 5 years now.

I know for a fact, that I will hear from him every single day.

And... we are constantly astounded.. by how well we communicate.

So, it's not all men.

When we first got together, he would end every goodnight call with.. I will talk to you tomorrow. And.. he did. We had a disagreement once and I questioned whether or not I would hear from him. He said, I told you I would talk to you tomorrow, didn't i?

Then after awhile, he didn't have to say, he would talk to me tomorrow, because it was a given. So saying that fell away because it wasn't necessary anymore.

There are men who communicate really well.

I don't think men are bad at communication... We generally just don't care for talking every minute of our lives.... The thing is we just lack interest in sharing everything about us to anyone .

Their really is no difference in communication skills between men and women...stop believing that crap because its been proven inaccurate ... and almost totally does not exist in certain races like African and Asian.... especially Asians ... It is the Caucasian race that shows the largest difference in male-female brain relation and communication skills.... And even then it only accounts for the average female and male of the white race.

Besides if you want to believe in stereotypes , then how about the one that states women miss read everything which leads them into over dramatizing things and starting unnecessary fights with their boyfriends and girlfriends ...that in itself is a horrible communication skill.

for the most part guys are busy and don't have anything to say

all the messages and texts and calls and tweets take away from what we are trying to finish doing

we call and do all this at first because it us new and fun and then for the most part guys do the same thing daily and don't feel a need to report it

Some men are busy thinking about work, and not always thinking about themselves and their relationship.

Maybe some other men do talk more than their women.

Maybe your statement is just not true, and depends on the man-woman pair.

With me and my wife, my wife does talk more, but I am more direct with fewer words.

Beats me, honestly does. I just don't see why men, in general, can't pick a routine/schedule for giving their partner attention which they can stick to to start with. Instead of going all-out in the beginning, then slacking off and having you guys 2nd guess our commitment. Secondly, I don't see why they don't communicate when they'll be in touch next. This seemed self-evident for me, even back in the day, and it has served me well in relationships.

They aren't all like that.

But many are, and I don't know why. I'm sure some girls are the same.
