Can you wake some one up who s taking sleeping pills? (for a story)?

So, I m writing a story, and it, the girls brother has been drugged by the villain and house is on fire. She s going to save him, but would she be able to wake him up or would the rescue involve some way to work around him being unconscious?

Yes but he won't be very responsive and you'll not be able to lead normal logical conversation because you'll not be talking to a fully awake and fully aware person, if he say or do something he most likely won't remember doing it saying it. So if in your story the character wakes up a person on sleeping pills for experimental research he better record him with camera to show the sleeping pills guy what he did or said last night while he was on zombie mode.

It would depend on how much of the drug the person took.  If the guy took the recommended dose, yes, the sister would be able to wake him up.

If he only took the recommended dose you could wake him up. but he may not be alert. If he took a major overdose he may be unconcious.
