    no you do not need a passport to go to Puerto Rico, but I would not go now because I just was reading that they had another earthquake

    Puerto Rico is an island belong to US., passport is not needed if you are US citizen.

    Puerto Rico is US Territory.  

     If you are flying to PR from outside the USA then you need to fulfill the same entry requirements as if you were flying to New York.

    There is no immigration or Customs when flying non-stop between the USA mainland and PR. If you are flying to PR from the mainland then you need one of the listed IDs to get through TSA security.https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/iden...
