My cigarette lighter port in my car is not working ?

I know the problem is not with my cord or phone. I have a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe could it be a blown fuse?

There are usually several power outlets in a vehicle. Not all of them constantly have power, some of them do. Some of them only have power when the engine is running or the ignition is in the accessory position. If it worked before and all of a sudden stopped working it might be a fuse, it could be that there's a bad electrical connection to it somewhere too, but it's most likely that it's power source needs to be turned on by starting the engine or putting the key in the accessory position.

Step 1 :- Check for foreign objects inside the cigarette lighter socketStep 2 :- Check for power and ground at the socketStep 3 :- Try plugging in a different deviceStep 4 :- Try plugging in the cigarette lighterStep 5 :- Try plugging your charger into a different socket

it's been mentioned in other words, but check it with the key on.  My wife's 2008 accord turns the power off to that port when the key is off, but my 2008 silverado is always on.

    Yep check fuse first.

Some Newer cars have an "auxiliary power port" to be PC correct., If the cap shows a Key on it, it's off unless accessories on.

Any one with Batt or picture of battery should be always on. If no power to any  with ign on, check fuses.

It could be a fuse. Look up the fuse positions for your make and model.

Check the fuse.  Fuse is good, check for power and ground.

A blown fuse is the easiest to check.  That is where I would start...

Yep check fuse first. Then the port may need replacing. Test it for volts.

A blown fuse is where I would start looking.
