  • Cannot Resize Mac windows OS X 10.6.8?

    Macbook pro OS X 10.6.8.

I'm wondering if anyone can help.

Ive noticed that in both Chrome and Firefox that after a certain amount of time (seems to be random) I'm suddenly unable to re-size the browser windows.

I find i re-size windows an awful lot and the only way to fix this is by rebooting the app.

Has anyone had the same problem and if so did you fix it?

Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

  • Photoshop not showing colors correctly?

I've been using photoshop CS5 on my mac for months with no problems, now all of a sudden I design a website in photoshop, save it and the colours are noticeably different. I can even see the difference when i click 'save for web' and look at the preview.

The colors are much brighter than what I can see inside photoshop.

What color mode should I be using when I start a new project, and could there be any other issues that are causing this to happen?

any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Custom Domain on Blogger AND Web space?

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could give me info on having a blogger blog but still using webspace in the background as well?

At the moment I can't figure out how this would work and I can't find anything on Google.

I have a hostgator account, but have set up a custom domain on my blogger blog and changed the name servers to suit.

If anyone has done this before or knows how to do it, please let me know!

I want to be able to host files on my webspace but still have the custom domain pointing at the Blogger blog.

    Thanks for the help

  • Recommended Virus Protection?

    Windows XP

    Laptop

I was wondering what the best virus protection out there is? I have a very small 3gb laptop so don't want anything bulky.

I've used the following programs in the past, but I would like to know what you think?

    Malwareytes

    adaware home edition

    avg (seemed bulky)

    Spybot S&D

    CC cleaner

    Thanks a lot!

Me and my friends have been watching the Indian Premier league Cricket on Setanta and every so often there is a trumpet riff in the crowd and everyone cheers.

  • Reinstalling Windows: Will it be clean without the disk?

I've just had a problem with a virus on my laptop and was told to wipe everything reinstall windows and essentially start again.

I've been looking around at guides and found a method of reinstalling windows without the CD using files already on the laptop.

As these files are already on my laptop and not from a windows disk could they be infected with the virus?

Basically, is it safe to use files that are already on my laptop to reinstall windows, or am I just wasting my time trying to completely clean my laptop with files that could possibly carry the virus?

any help on this matter would be appreciated because I don't have a lot of money at the moment, and don't want to buy a new windows CD if possible.

    thanks!

  • Is it necessary to format and reinstall?

I've just had a problem with a virus which doesn't appear to be affecting the way in which my computer operates any more, however the person that was helping me over on a forum (and i very much respect her opinion and help) said the only way to make it completely safe again is to completely format my hard drive and reinstall windows.

the problem I had was google redirecting to random spam sites and i was also unable to update virus scanners.

Do you think I need to do this drastic of a thing or will I be ok to surf as normal now?
