Hi Everyone! I am a Stay At Home Mom (so far, but not sure about the future) of 3 perfect (in my eyes) children and married to a man that puts his families needs before his. He can be amazing......... most of the time! LOL!. I am not a fan of people that judge and/or insult on Yahoo Answers. I love to answer questions and help others in need of some advice. I answer from my personal experience and from my heart. See you around :) Mamma of 3!

  • Home remedies for Cradle Cap?

My 5 month old STILL has Cradle Cap (aka in my house as cradle crap, LOL).

I have tried 2 over the counter products, each for 4 weeks to allow time to see if they work and no improvement. I phoned the pediatrician and she said I could try a prescription shampoo or try Head and Shoulders twice a week. Well, I opted for H&S because I try to stay away from prescriptions when I can. Well, I have been doing that for almost 4 weeks now and still no improvement.

So, before I call the doc for the prescription I was wondering if anyone has any other (safe) ideas we could try. Any home remedies or Old Wives Tales? I'm up for any suggestions!

  • 10 week old with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

Our pediatrician prescribed AXID for our son yesterday. Does anyone have experiance with this? If so, how long does it take before it starts to work? When I asked the pediatrician she said it takes a few days before we should notice a differance. However, he has had 2 doses so far (every 12 hours) and he is (finnally) calm this morning.

I was just wondering if anyone else who has been on this medicine noticed a differance with in 24 hours, or did it take a few days for you?

Thanks in advance for your info :)

  • Just curious.....?

All 3 of my children have the same bloodtype (and the same father :) )

I thought this was kind of cool and was wondering if this was the norm? Does this happen often?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

  • Looking for a name.....In need of some ideas.....(please)?

Baby #3 will be here soon and we still can't think of a good name. We're not big fans of common names, but we're also not fans of crazy unique names.

Baby #3 is a boy, anyone have any good names?

    His siblings are:

Aiden - this name was not that common 6 years ago when he was born as it is today

    and

    Sienna

Any suggestions that sound good with his siblings names?

  • 32 weeks pregnant and 3 centimeters dilated.....?

I went to my doc today and he said I was 3 centimeters dialated.

Apparently what I thought were typical pregnancy pressure and pains were really contractions. He put me on medicine to take 3 times a day to stop the contractions.

    So, my question is:

Does anyone recall being 3 centimeters dialated and how long after did you go into labor?

Thanks in advance for your info :)

  • Question for parents.......what would you do?

Our son is in Kindergarten. We recieved a call from the principal one day. Apparently our son "mooned" everyone in the lunchroom!

It took everything I had not to burst out laughing in the principals ear! I composed my self and continued the conversaion with her. When they asked him why he did it, he said he wanted to be funny. I was thinking "well, at least he was being honest" The principal decided to keep him in her office for the rest of the day. I agreed.

Later that day when he got off the bus, my husband and I discussed the issue with him. He did get punished from his toys and video games for that day and from video games the next day. We did explain to him why is wasn't funny and why it's not appropriate to show his naked butt in school.

    Here's my question:

A family member stated the other day that we handled the situation wrong......that the punishment should have been more severe from the parents end. If he's doing this now, what's next?

    What do you guys think?

  • What should I buy?

A friend of mine is deploying to Iraq January 2nd. She's been away in training for the past 3 months and came home yesterday. Today she called me and said she wants to stop buy Wednesday morning to see us and she's bringing presents for the kids. Even the one still cooking in my belly.

So, my question is: Since she is bringing gifts for my kids, I want to purchase a little something for her, but what? What can you get someone who will be in Iraq for the next 13 months?

I can't get her any perfumes or lotions, I don't think she's allowed to have that while she's there.

    Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

  • Is milk more filling than formula?

I just completed the transition from formula to milk. It seems that she is not finishing the entire bottle like she did with formula. She is drinking about 75% of the bottle, so I don't think it's an issue with her not liking the milk.

She's my second and my first just turned 6, and for the life of me I can't remember or not if I had this problem with him.

Im thinking she should be getting 24oz of milk per day. I don't want to start making her bottles less.

    Any thoughts, suggestions?

    Thanks.

  • Pre-term pregnancy?

I delivered my first at 36 weeks and my second at 34 weeks.

See a pattern here? Wasn't induced, just went into labor.

Now my third is due in February and I wonder if he'll come early also, and how early?

Has this happened to anyone else? What are my chances of going early or full term?
