Billy the Kid...?

There is a plan to possibly exhume the bodies of Billy the Kid and his mother to do some advanced DNA testing. Many of the legislators in New Mexico oppose this idea. Since there has always been a sort of debate as to whether Billy the Kid was really killed when history says he was, they want to find out for sure.

My question is: Do you think it is historically important to find this out or is it just to satisfy curiosity?

Curiosity. Even if they did do the dna analysis they would still debate about it.

No, why not exhume Elvis too, since many people think he isn't dead either. The curiosity about Billy The Kid is that a few men claimed to be Billy long after his death. They were proven to be imposters. Case closed.

I wanna know. Saying he didn't really exist or whatever will only feed the mystery and enhance the myth
