After replacing the oil pan gasket, my Dodge Ram 1500 will not start. It tries to but it doesn’t start. I’ve added oil and added starter fluid.

Could it be the alternator?
Favorite Answer:The alternator not charging will cause the battery light to come on. This could be from the alternator simply failing unspectacularly, which would not cause smoke, or some other things. The bearings in the alternator may have seized, causing the belt to rub on the pulley and smoke. This will usually be accompanied by a noise, but not always. The belt may have snapped or simply come off, you will also lose power steering, which would be very obvious. The water pump is also driven by the belt, and the engine would overheat pushing coolant out of the overflow bottle causing a steam eruption. A couple miles is probably not enough time for this to happen, and there would be other warnings present with this, not just a battery light. A coolant leak on the alternator is not very likely to be the problem, the alternator is above the water pump on that model (I think), and it gets completely drenched whenever the van is driven in the rain. The most likely scenario is an internal short in the alternator causing the battery to discharge into the alternator windings and burning the insulation, This will quickly convert the varnish on the copper windings into smoke, and discharge the battery without overheating the engine or compromising power steering.

I have a 2011 dodge nitro 3.7L and I have a misfire code I’m trying to replace the coils and spark plugs but they keep telling me that It has 6 coils but I only see 3 because I think this engine shares them. Am I right or is there 6 of them

Favorite Answer:"Body shells" can be found for several muscle cars and cars from the 1930's. They are brand new and will accept original parts (or reproductions).

Because there are those who specialize in restoration of Mopar products, one of them would be able to complete the project.
They can be licensed after a state issues a VIN number or maybe the place providing the completed car would be able to get a VIN number assigned.
About all the detail parts are being supplied already new. Except the engine and transmissions which can be found with out a lot of trouble or a bolt in using current power plants that are found in Pick up trucks if no place else.

Favorite Answer:BOTTOM LINE -- " reasonably quick "
If you are talking about reasonably quick for street racing -- there will always be others that are quicker. If you want to race, you need the biggest engine you can get.
If you are talking about reasonably quick is normal street driving -- the wimpiest charger is overkill. I like "quick." My fuel mileage is pitiful because I like driving "frisky." At a traffic signal, at the line, when the light goes green rarely anyone will outrun me. I am having fun.... and that is in a 999cc 3-cylinder Smart Fortwo. In city traffic, 99% of people never put the pedal to the metal.

Favorite Answer:Over-fiilling the tank and contaminating the evaporation control system, or a fault in the evsp control system itself. When you fill up, don't try to squeeze extra fuel into the tank when the pump aurtomatically shuts off.

How to tell if my Dodge Avenger is an R/T?
I have a 2014 Dodge Avenger 3.5L V6 & I have no idea which model it is. It doesn’t have any badges on it to say. It just has the dodge symbol on the grill & the Avenger plaque on the back. When I take it to the shop for parts etc. the R/T parts are the ones that fit. But the dealer that I got the car from says it’s not an R/T. I was just wondering if there were any ways of telling the difference between the models. Is there just a normal avenger or is it just the SE, SXT, & RT models? Please help with this I would really love to know & if it is an R/T I would like to put the symbol on the back.
