Why is my blue spruce tree dying from the top down?
We have a tall (50-foot) blue spruce in our front yard in northern Indiana. For about the past year, it appears that the tree is dying from the top down. The leaders and the topmost branches have turned brown, and it seems to be spreading downward. Is this caused by insect infestation or something else? And what can we do about it?
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoWhy won't my Honda Accord AC compressor start?
I recently replaced the AC compressor in my 2003 Honda Accord EX V6. . It worked great for a while, but now the compressor will not start when I turn the AC on. I know the clutch/compressor work becuase I hooked up a jumper wire from the battery, and the compressor engaged and the air got cool.
I checked the AC relay and it seems to be fine. The refrigerant pressure is right where it should be. What could be causing the compressor not to switch on?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow do I get Wireless N speed from my laptop's internal card?
I have an HP dv7-1451nr laptop that came with an internal wireless car with only 802.11 b/g capability. Seeking to upgrade to wireless N speed, I installed a Broadcom 4321 wireless card. According to the documentation for my laptop, this should be a compatible device. I installed the most current driver.
The card works, and I'm getting an excellent signal, but I'm only getting 5.5 mbps. My router's security is set to WPA2/AES, and all my other router settings seem to be correct. Any ideas?
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoWhat's causing a transmission problem with my 2003 Honda Accord?
I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan with the five-speed automatic transmission. My car has developed a shifting problem. Sometimes it shifts very roughly. Other times it doesn't shift at all, or the engine revs and it feels like it can't find the gear. Tonight the check engine light came on and the D4 light started blinking, but I haven't had a chance to get it scanned yet to find out what the trouble codes are.

* A wiring junction in the attic that's not in a box.
*An improper termination in the attic.
How serious are these issues, and what is involved in repairing them?
