  • Digital cameras that will accept SLR long lens?

I have two good SLR 35mm cameras that appear to have been made obsolete by the newer digital cameras. Along with my cameras, I have two long lens. Is there a reasonably priced digital camera that will accept the fittings on my long lens so I can take long shots without having to get an expensive digital camera that does have that capability?

  • Medicare options--advice on Part B?

Am a month away from 65. Have full coverage BCBS because my wife is younger than I. Will continue to have that for next six years. While I will probably enroll in Part A why should I enroll in Part B at this time? Someone has indicated potential "penalties" if I don't take Part B now but why should I pay BCBS and also for Part B if BCBS is obligated to provide much the same Part B coverage as does Medicare? Please don't suggest the www.medicare.gov website. It just does not provide the information I need.

  • ANSI Standard, Safety Harness?

Need to know ANSI standard on service life of fall protection safety harnesses. Have heard that they should be replaced every five years, irrespective of their condition. If someone knows the standard, would appreciate the wording they use. These are harnesses, not safety belts. Thanks.

  • How to contact Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft with programming idea?

Have found that attempting to contact Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft about an educational software program I have developed is nearly impossible. Three separate emails to Google have gone unanswered. I am solely interested in assessing their interest in the program. Any contact information, specific, would be appreciated. Please note that "Contact Us" with these large businesses simply yields no results. Thanks.

  • Blood Borne Pathogens in the non medical workplace?

OSHA has tons of guidelines for handling blood borne pathogens, such as spilled blood, for medical facilities. I profess I haven't had time to look through every OSHA reg on this topic, but I am looking for safe handling of spilled blood from lacerations, cuts, nosebleeds, etc., in the normal workplace. Any references out there that someone may know of? This is for a safety manual in small business with 40 or so employees.

  • Blue Ray and Netflix?

How well do Blue Ray DVD players, routers, and Netflix work together?

Netflix says it can be accessed by a Blue Ray equipped DVD player, HDMI cable, and a router. I am told that Netflix claims thousands of movies available for streaming video, but that when using a Blue Ray, Wii, or game station, the selection is mostly limited to older movies. Plus, my tv does have a spare HDMI port, but is not internet ready. I do have a router paired with a cable modem system for my computer. I don't want to watch movies on a computer screen. Ideas? Experience with this?

    Thanks.

  • Installing Microsoft Office?

I got an Office program, 2003, from a friend who didn't use it. New in package. Trying to install it on a Vista operating system computer. Keep getting "requires elevation" msg in box after inputting the 25 digit code. Press OK and everything goes away, no install. Any ideas how to get this installed, and what does "requires elevation" mean--adding something to service pack? Thanks.

2006 Saturn Ion---has four hole 15" wheels. Are these compatible with any other cars? Need a pretty quick answer, they are going into a garage sale tomorrow and need to know if they have multiple applications. Any responses from you gearheads would be really appreciated. Thanks.

  • About Chrysler Corporation?

I find it strange that when googling Chrysler Corp that you simply cannot get an email address or site for asking some questions about extension of warranty coverage for obvious design defects. You get all sorts of ads, news, etc., but anything Chrysler puts out is pure self serving. Anyone know of an email address or site one can go to, to find a person to complain to? Writing a letter in this day and age is kind of old school. Thanks.

  • LLC "Vendors" in Delaware?

Need the names of two or three reputable, reasonably priced firms in Delaware that do Limited Liability Company registrations and related filings. If possible, email addresses or phone numbers. Firms must have stable and established backgrounds, and have competitive prices for LLC registrations. Any help out there from someone who has been there and done that? Thanks.

  • Need info on old travel trailer wheels?

Thinking of buying an old lightweight beat up travel trailer that has been gutted inside and converting it to a toy hauler. However, 14" wheels are a four hole "cross" pattern with lug bolts, not lug nuts. No designation as to make, model, etc. Body is 17" long excluding hitch. Seems to take a 2" ball.

No spare. Are wheels like this even available? Any ideas where, specifically? One old tire actually says G 78-14, another says 205 14, no P205/75-14 etc. Advice appreciated.

  • Change tire size effects?

If a 75R/17" tire is changed out to a 70R/17" tire, what will be the effects on the speedometer? Aside from the less than one centimeter drop in height, it makes sense that the 70 will roll over faster, thus increasing speedometer. Is this correct?

  • Info on older folding bicycle needed?

Got a Hawthorn-Montgomery Ward-Schwinn folding bike with Land-Rover as main decal. Single speed, front hand brake, adjustable handlebar stem and seat stem, fenders. Decal says Made in Austria.

Obviously older than 1973 since it has a license with that date on it.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this bike, when they were made, and why so many brands on it? Is this a "vintage" bike?

  • Wiring for home theater?

Have cable in to DVR. HDMI from DVR to Toshiba TV.

Have a Sony receiver that will power a KLH home theater speaker set--latter accepts speaker wire only, no problem there as Sony receiver will use either RCA plugs or speaker wire for output.

Question is: What goes to what as far as input and output? TV to Sony, Sony to speakers? Or does DVR have a place in wiring? DVR takes only RCA plugs for input and output, as does Toshiba TV.

  • Hot or cold water to flush waste materials down sink drains?

We have several different opinions about using hot or cold water to flush kitchen sink drains after pouring any kind of greasy material or using disposer to grind up and drain anything greasy. I have been told to use hot water so the grease does not congeal easily. Others have been told to use cold water, to make the grease congeal so it will drain down the system to the main in clumps. What are the opinions out there? Experiences of plumbers?

    Thanks.

  • Infrared quartz heaters--do they really work well?

I have been deluged by Eden Pure and several other companies, plus I see in Parade and US Weekly Sunday inserts the ads for the quartz infrared heating units. They are portable, "run on less than a Mr. Coffee" a day, etc. Right now the adds seem to be for the same product, just packaged differently. They all rely on convection, infrared bulbs, and some copper concoction that retains heat. They seem to come in two sizes, one will heat 300 sq' and the other 1000 sq'.

Anybody out there using one and if so, are they worth the cost, which is 300-400 dollars? Are they efficient and work as well as the maker claims? Opinions would be appreciated.

  • Folding Motorcycles Revisited?

Due to obvious confusion on the part of several respondents, I will rephrase and provide additional information to my original question. I am looking for a website of manufacturers of small motorcycles that can be disassembled and placed into a large carrying bag. They are typically about 80cc and only slightly larger than a Moped. They are considered portable and usually used as a recreational vehicle for campers who haul them along to the campsite. Some are street legal, just as Mopeds might be.

These are used widely in Great Britain and Asia as fuel efficient transport for short distances. Their top end is about 40mph with an average sized person on them. I don't want to try to obtain one all the way from Europe, so I am asking if anyone knows of a USA distributor. They "fold" at the frame junction just in front of the engine, and they have a carry bag made especially for them. When folded, they are about the size of a folded up wheelchair. They are not pocket rockets or minicycles. I am told they weigh under a hundred pounds. In England, they go for about $1,400 or so if my monetary conversion is correct. Maybe this further explanation will help to locate the product.

Any help locating something like this in the US would be appreciated. I saw one at a rest stop, attached to the back of an RV, but the owners were obviously resting and I didn't want to disturb them.

Need to locate sites or brands of small motorcycles that fold up, similar to what might be used for camping. Needs to be a bit larger than a moped, smaller than a racing dirt bike. Any help out there?

  • Definitions of ATV tire sizing?

I need to know what the sizes mean on ATV tires. I have specs for 26 X 11 X 12 (front) and 26 X 10.5 X 12 (rear). What do these numbers mean and how much leeway is there in sizing?

  • Remote area TV reception, boosters, and antennas?

Vacation spot is near Lake of the Ozarks, MO. 60 miles north of Springfield, 60 miles south of Columbia. Research is all over the map on what kind of antenna I should get and how a booster or amp will work with it. Don't want to get antenna with directional motor. Any suggestions concerning how amps or boosters work, with antenna and 50' coax cable? Power needed and if so, how close to antenna or tv? Brands that work welcomed.
